—  About

My name is Charlie Buhler, I am a Los Angles based filmmaker and photographer.

I was raised in South Dakota Washington, DC in 1988. I studied Social Inquiry at The New School in NYC.

I make all kinds of work to be exhibited, screened, sold, and published worldwide. I like working for brands, museums, publications, artists, and myself. I also enjoy public speaking and teaching, too.

My work has been featured in many major publications such as Vogue, New York Times, Artsy, Dazed&Confused, i_D, Vice, HuffingtonPost, The Cut, The National Abu Dhabi, and so many more.

My work has been supported by Tribeca Film Festival, The National Portrait Gallery, The US Department of State Office of Art in Embassies, The Magnum Foundation, Photoville NYC, The International Center for Photography, National Geographic, The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC), and International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF).

My past clients include Apple, Barneys New York, NOWNESS, National Geographic, ASOS, Topic, Warner-Bros, T-Mobile, and many more.

I am represented by IMG LENS. Reach out to them for any work-related inquiries.

Feel free to write me an e-mail and say hello!
